National development and management company BXP has announced the opening of YETI’s first New York City flagship storefront at 200 Fifth Avenue in Flatiron, Manhattan. The outdoor products supplier will occupy 6,614 square feet across two floors in the building, which is located in a highly trafficked area directly across from Madison Square Park.

YETI, which is headquartered in Austin, Texas, is known for its coolers, drinkware, and outdoor equipment. Its New York City flagship store allows customers to explore YETI’s product range, offering a custom shop for its Rambler Drinkware and Tundra coolers, educational spaces, and a mural by Texas artist Jon Fleming.

200 Fifth Avenue was originally constructed in 1909 and was purchased by BXP in 2022. It stands 14 stories tall and spans approximately 870,000 square feet. The grand opening of YETI’s store in the property not only marks a significant expansion for the brand but also adds to the retail environment of the Midtown South district.

“We’re dedicated to creating a vibrant street-level experience at 200 Fifth and it’s exciting to officially welcome YETI to our growing community,” said Hilary Spann, EVP, New York Region at BXP. “The building’s location in the heart of the Midtown South district and right across the street from Madison Square Park offers great visibility for YETI’s first New York City storefront.”

I believe this was the toy building for decades. Buyers from around the world would visit to see the new offerings. The giftware building was across the street known as 225 Fifth.

now that’s what we need around here.
