New renderings have been revealed for Bergen, a seven-story residential project under construction at 323 Bergen Street in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. Developed by Avdoo & Partners Development with GF55 architects as the executive architect and Frida Escobedo as the design architect, Workstead as the interior designer, DXA Studio as the master planer, and Patrick Cullina as the landscape designer, the 209,000-square-foot structure will yield 105 condominium units. The project was formerly addressed as 311-341 Bergen Street and is located along Bergen Street between 3rd and 4th Avenues.

The renderings show the undulating façade clad in what appears to be earth-toned terracotta framing a grid of narrow rectangular windows on the first two stories. On the four levels above, the fenestration alternates between large square windows and open-air cutouts for stacks of recessed balconies. Setbacks at the seventh floor are shown topped with terraces, and landscaping is visible on the parapet, indicating the presence of a roof deck.

The building will feature two residential wings connected by a central block, called the “Glass House,” which will serve as its main entrance and feature 14,500 square feet of interior amenities across four levels. Bergen will also offer 12,000 square feet of outdoor amenities, including two common rooftop parks.
Units will come in studio to five-bedroom layouts with prices starting at $700,000. Notably, 75 percent of the homes will offer private outdoor space.
Bergen is located in close proximity to the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center station, which is served by the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q, and R trains.

“It has been an incredibly collaborative process and sincere pleasure working with Avdoo, DXA, and Workstead on this project,” said Frida Escobedo, the building’s architect. “From conceptualizing the design to the last detail, we felt a responsibility to approach Bergen in a way that would be respectful of the character of the neighborhood and the surrounding environment while creating something new that would stand the test of time.”
Construction is planned to conclude in 2025, and sales are scheduled to launch this spring.

  3. Me likey this

  4. Is this a mass timber project?

  5. Well, It’s very big, so hopefully they stick with the nice materials shown. A flat wall would be awful.

Smooth concrete may not be appropriate for this neighborhood, with the beauty that was intended to be created: Thanks.

  7. This will be the third zigzag building in the neighborhood, along with 585 Union St and somewhere else. Not against it 🙂
