Construction has topped out on 39-26 30th Street, an 11-story residential building in Dutch Kills, Queens. The ground-up structure will yield and undisclosed number of affordable housing units and a new religious facility for the Brazilian Missionary Church, which already occupied the site between 39th and 40th Avenues. 39-26 Property LLC is listed as the owner and JLS Group Construction LLC is listed as the general contractor. An architect for the project was not publicly disclosed.

Recent photographs show the reinforced concrete superstructure built to its pinnacle, with scaffolding poles and black netting providing a protective barrier above the sidewalk as the final levels finish settling. Installation of the gray and white façade paneling and grid of floor-to-ceiling windows has begun, and currently encloses the second through fourth levels.

Photographs from early October show crews pouring concrete on the upper levels of the reinforced concrete superstructure with wooden formwork helping to settle the columns and floor plates.

The main rendering depicts 39-26 30th Street’s façade composed of dark gray panels interspersed with red-orange accenting, however this design seems to have been abandoned in favor of a lighter, more conventional palette. Otherwise, the structure appears to have been constructed to plan. An entrance to a parking garage is positioned in the center of the main elevation, and the front doors are situated around the eastern corner of the structure. Glass railings line the landscaped upper setbacks.

The nearest subways are the N and W trains at the 39th Avenue station to the east along 31st Street.

39-26 30th Street’s anticipated completion date is slated for the winter of 2025, as noted on site.
