Mediapro North America and Great Point Studios have broken ground on a new film and television production complex at 1050 North Broadway in Yonkers. Anticipated to open its doors in fall 2024, the facility is a significant addition to Yonkers’ media production landscape.

The building is shown clad in a red brick façade with large industrial-style windows and will house three sound stages measuring a total of 20,000 square feet. Mediapro North America, a division of the global media conglomerate GRUP MEDIAPRO, is known for its content production and distribution services. This development underscores the company’s strategy to expand its North American footprint.

Great Point Studios, co-founded by Robert Halmi and Fehmi Zeko, brings expertise in film and television infrastructure to the partnership. The studio has previously engaged in successful collaborations with notable entities such as Lionsgate and Syracuse University.

“The addition of Mediapro to Yonkers’ growing film and production landscape further demonstrates our city’s reimagined approach to redevelopment, creating local jobs and economic vitality,” said Yonkers Mayor Mike Spano at the November 6 groundbreaking ceremony. “We are thankful to Mediapro at Great Point Studios for investing in Yonkers and expanding its footprint here, truly making us Hollywood on Hudson.”
