Permits have been filed to expand a two-story structure into a four-story residential building at 805 Monroe Street in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Patchen Avenue and Ralph Avenue, the interior lot is near the Kosciuszko Street subway station, serviced by the J train. Isaac Lichtman is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 56-foot-tall development will yield 6,478 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 10 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 647 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Leandro Nils Dickson Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the permit calls for vertical and horizontal enlargement. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

Another expansion of an existing building. Was there a change in the building codes?
