Permits have been filed to expand a three-story structure into a four-story mixed-use building at 87 South 6th Street in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Berry Street and Bedford Avenue, the lot is a short walk to the Marcy Avenue subway station, serviced by the J, M, and Z trains. Moses Jacobowitz under the 146 Wyckoff Developer is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 55-foot-tall development will yield 7,611 square feet, with 5,997 square feet designated for residential space and 1,614 square feet for commercial space. The building will have nine residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 667 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a penthouse and a 21-foot-long rear yard.

Nikolai Katz Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for an expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
