571 Ocean Parkway in Kensington, Brooklyn via NYC Housing Connect

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 571 Ocean Parkway, an eight-story mixed-use building in Kensington, Brooklyn. Designed by Kindo Holdings, the structure yields 29 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are nine units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $81,429 to $156,130.

Tenants get one month of free rent with one- and two-year leases. Amenities include pet-friendly policies, a dog washing station, bike storage lockers, gym, storage, rooftop terrace, and a virtual doorman. Residences feature washers and dryers, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 130 percent of the AMI, there are nine one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,375 for incomes ranging from $81,429 to $156,130.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than December 22, 2022.

  1. This isn’t affordable housing but INCOME LINKED HOSING and only affordable to upper income people.
    Not the low income people of this city.
    This is a taxpayer subsidy to millionaire developers.
    What a joke to call this affordable housing.
    421A is dead so this stopped in June.

  3. It is desgraceful how you people could list these apartments as affordable and in the Sam breath also list the price for said apartments. It is a joke because we know better.

    • It’s relative. This is affordable for Ocean Pkwy. A $3500/month apartment would be affordi3ble for Park Ave. Probably shouldn’t be looking for housing in areas you can’t afford. That’s just sort of how this whole housing market thing works…
