New Empire Corp, a New York City-based development and construction management firm, has announced plans to construct a new 120-unit condominium building at 58-01 Queens Boulevard in Woodside, Queens. The developer acquired the site for $16.2 million and will demolish an existing Walgreens retail store to make room for the new building.

When complete, the property will comprise a mix of studios, one- and two-bedroom units. Amenity spaces will include a fitness center, personal storage, a children’s playroom, an indoor lounge, and outdoor terrace. Future owners will also have access to 60 on-site parking spaces.

“The acquisition of 58-01 Queens Boulevard and the future development of the site will offer attainable luxury to an already vibrant community,” said New Empire Corp chairman and CEO Bentley Zhao. “In addition to the recent market reports that indicate that apartments in Queens are in limited supply, we believe the property’s optimal location, unique design elements, and efficient unit layouts will be a draw to future residents.”

The developer has not yet revealed any renderings of the building but anticipates the property to debut by the end of 2025. No word yet on when the project will break ground.

  1. This developer seems to be mildly adventurous with their choice of architects and designs. It might be nice.
