Exterior work is complete on The Symon, a 13-story condominium building at 76 Schermerhorn Street in Brooklyn Heights. Colberg Architecture served as the architect of record and Lonicera Partners, Orange Management, and The Davis Companies are the three developers of the address. The property features 59 units with interior design by Studio DB, which also led the design of the curtain wall. The project is located between Boerum Place and Court Street along the border with Boerum Hill.

Recent photos show the finished look of the structure, which should be ready to open in the coming months. Since our last visit in April, the final windows have been installed and the façade has been fully trimmed out.

The sidewalk scaffolding that sat in front of the reinforced concrete edifice has been disassembled, and the sidewalk itself is fully formed. A metal fence with orange and white plastic barriers remain standing in front of the property, but should be removed shortly. The dark rectangular metal canopy above the main entrance is complete, and the address number of 76 has been installed on the wall between the main doors, which are in turn flanked by black planters. The ground-floor exterior is clad in a dark brown stone surface, above which the curtain wall rises in brick masonry with a grid of large windows.

The Symon spans 86,000 square feet, with 68,460 square feet allocated to the residences, for an average of 1,163 square feet apiece. Homes are available in one- to four-bedroom spreads, all designed by Studio DB. The property also contains 3,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

The remaining space is devoted to amenities, which include a 24-hour attended lobby, private lounge, landscaped rooftop terrace, gym, children’s playroom, storage, bicycle spaces for purchase, and a limited number of private indoor automatic parking spots available for purchase.

Full completion on The Symon is imminent, with occupancy to follow soon after.

  1. I’ve always liked The Symon. Its Dutch personality is very nicely done.
