  1. it is not near the B and D trains at the Concourse and Fordham road. Sloppy work. 64 thousand dollar question: what percentage of the apartments will be market rate.

    • I imagine mostly non-market rate if not entirely.

The B and D are a walk but the 2 and 5 are a short bus ride away. Should be quicker taking the bus in that direction.

    • The area is quite spread out. All metroN stations are placed in odd areas.

As for market rate — are u for or against it.

If ur for it that means u want to upgrade. Or u want to downgrade for a better price. Perhaps ur a joe paying out ur butt in manhattan and call urself compromising for space in the bronx.

Or ur an emerging worker seeking better soace for ur family.

This nwighborhood is a money grab not a revitilization move. Its a play for the futurer poorer manhattan ppl that will get priced out.

When i say poorer i mean 85000 2 person household.

  2. I live around the corner here it’s a 20 minute walk to the D. it’s a terrible location

    • It’s not terrible. Besides walking, there are several buses that use Fordham Rd so frequencies are very high, and the bus lane means a quick trip past the traffic. You can then transfer to the B, D, 2, 5, or even 4. There’s also a Metro North stop closer.

      • It takes forever to take the bus from there to the 2 train in the morning. I’ve been living here for 10 years. I only take the metro north but that’s pretty expensive and you still need to take a subway from gct

  3. Took a long time for new development on this corridor. Good density.

  4. This is great news, and long past due. Finally E. Fordham Road is getting filled in with much-needed residential.

  5. Fantastic news. It is about time this area gets new and modern residences.

This is Ideal for people who don’t enjoy the subways and prefer Metro North. If not it’s a quick ride to the 2,5,b,d and 4. But on two sides there will be endless views of green with the Botanical Garden, Fordham University and Bronx zoo across the street. And the food in the Little Italy neigbborhood. Mmmmmm How terrific a location.

    • How nyers can afford metronorth passes? Maybe a mized price complex with good tax abatement. Perhaps a long term playm as they will be building and remodeling more metronorth stations over the next decade. Nice play for 20 yr investment
