Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 566 Grand Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Located between Union Avenue and Lorimer Street, the lot is four blocks south of the Lorimer Street subway station, serviced by the L train. Empire Square Group is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 9,203 square feet, with 4,898 square feet designated for residential space and 1,563 square feet for commercial space. The building will have seven residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 699 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar, penthouse, and a 25-foot-long rear yard.

Opera Studio Architecture is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
