Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 571 Ocean Parkway, in Kensington, Brooklyn. The lot is well connected to public transportation, especially for a neighborhood south of Prospect Park and Greenwood Cemetery. Residents will be six blocks away from the 18th Avenue subway station, serviced by the F trains, and one stop away from Church Avenue, with connections to the G train. Ten blocks away is the Newkirk Plaza subways station, serviced by B and Q trains. MVM Ocean LLC is listed as behind the applications.

The 80-foot tall building will yield 20,820 square feet for residential use. 31 apartments will be created, averaging 672 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Residents will have 250 square feet of recreational space within the cellar, a laundry room, and 17 bicycle parking spaces.

Walter J. Hollien Architect will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits have not yet been filed for the existing structure. The estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Please pardon me for using your space: One thing with Andrew Nelson is. Responsibility. (Thank you)

FYI – Church Avenue F/G subway station is the 2nd station AFTER Ditmas Avenue heading towards Manhattan/Queens on those two lines.

18th Ave – Ditmas Ave – Church Ave

Just the same, this new building will be conveniently located near shops and restaurants on 18th Ave., close to the awesome Shop Rite on Avenue I and McDonald Ave., plus the B8 and B68 buses!
