Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 2221 65th Street, in Mapleton, Brooklyn. The site is three blocks away from the Bay Parkway subway station, serviced by the N trains. Great Empire Beverly Realty is listed as behind the applications.

The 60-foot tall structure will yield 53,190 square feet, with 25,900 square feet dedicated to residential use and 9,930 square feet for commercial-retail use. 31 apartments will be created, averaging 835 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. Tenants will have access to a laundry room, accessory storage, a lobby, and an outdoor recreational space. 20 parking spaces will be created in the cellar.

Chi Lau Architect will be responsible for the design.

Demolition permits were filed for the site in mid-October of 2017. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
