Prolific hotel developer Sam Chang has revised plans for a proposed hotel development at 334 West 36th Street, in the Garment District. Previous plans called for the demolition of the existing six-story Christ Church, but now the structure and its façade are being incorporated into the new development. According to The New York Times, the hotel will stand 28 stories, and DOB permits now show 566 hotel rooms. This is an increase from earlier applications, which called for 20 stories and 406 rooms.
