Developed by Keeler Markwood Group, the nearly 60,000-square-foot structure will yield 74 rental units with nine reserved for affordable housing, as well as 40 on-site parking spaces.
Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 844 Bedford Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Park Avenue and Myrtle Avenue, the interior lot is near the Myrtle-Willoughby Avenues subway station, serviced by the G train. Joel Weiss of Empire Management is listed as the owner behind the applications.
YIMBY has an exclusive look at the latest renderings for THE 74, a 32-story residential tower at 201 East 74th Street on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Designed by Pelli Clarke & Partners with SLCE Architects as the architect of record and developed by Elad Group, which purchased the property for $61 million in April 2022, the 420-foot-tall structure will yield 42 condominium units and a collection of amenities. Rafael de Cardenas is the interior designer for the amenity spaces and the homes, which are being marketed by Corcoran Sunshine Marketing Group and will include half-floor two- and three-bedroom units, full-floor four- and five-bedroom homes, a single free-standing townhome, and a duplex penthouse. Press Builders is the general contractor for the project, which is alternately addressed as 1299 Third Avenue and located on an interior lot facing Third Avenue with two small extensions to East 74th and East 75th Streets.
Construction is progressing on 240 Broadway, a five-story commercial conversion project in South Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Designed by Mancini Duffy and developed by ZB Capital Group, which acquired the property for $20.1 million, the project involves the renovation of the 36,254-square-foot 19th century cast iron building’s façade and conversion of its 24 loft units into three stories of coworking space and a two-story restaurant and rooftop bar operated by Freehold Brooklyn. Spring Rock, LLC is the general contractor for the property, which is located on an interior lot between Roebling and Havemeyer Streets, directly across from the elevated Marcy Avenue subway station servicing the J, M, and Z trains.
New York City Economic Development Corporation has begun the Uniform Land Use Review Procedure for Phase 2 of the Willets Point development in Queens, a key project initiated by Mayor Eric Adams. This phase includes plans for 1,400 units of affordable housing, a new public school, 40,000 square feet of public open space, a privately financed soccer stadium, and a hotel.
