Construction is making vertical progress at 1245 Broadway in NoMad, the site of a 23-story Skidmore Owings and Merrill-designed commercial office building. The 318-foot-tall, 200,000-square-foot project is being co-developed by GDSNY and Sweden-based Klovern and built by Triton Construction. CBRE has begun leasing the building’s class A office space, and is also in charge of leasing for the ground-floor retail component.
Construction is now underway for Netherwood Flats, a new mixed-use development at 829 South Avenue in Plainfield, New Jersey. From developer Paramount Assets, the four-story complex will include 70 apartments, 4,000 square feet of ground-floor retail, and an underground parking structure.
Permits have been filed for a three-story mixed-use building at 2-06 Beach 97th Street in Far Rockaway, Queens. Located on the corner of Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 97th Street, the lot is one block from the Beach 98th Street-Playland
Permits have been filed for a five-story residential building at 1337 Sterling Place in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Located between Troy Avenue and Schenectady Avenue, the lot is near the Utica Avenue subway station, serviced by the 3 and 4 trains. Michael Uhr of BL Realty Corp is listed as the owner behind the applications.
Two residential buildings on Manhattan’s Upper East Side are steadily progressing toward completion. Beckford House, located at 301 East 81st Street, also addressed as 1562 Second Avenue, and Beckford Tower at 301 East 80th Street are both topped out and installation of their brick and stone façades is nearly finished. Located in the neighborhood of Yorkville, the projects are designed by Studio Sofield and SLCE Architects and developed by Icon Realty Management. CM & Associates is in charge of construction management.
