Permits have been filed for an 11-story mixed-use building at 355 West 39th Street in Midtown West, Manhattan. Located between 8th Avenue and 9th Avenue, the interior lot is three city blocks south of the 42 Street-Port Authority Bus Terminal subway station, serviced by the A, C, and E trains. Man Hei Li under the 355 39th Street LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The Rockwell Group is set to appear before the New York City Landmark Preservation Commission in defense of its proposed alterations to The Town Hall theater. Located in the heart of Midtown at 123 West 43rd Street, the structure first opened in 1921 and has retained its original exterior massing and design for nearly a century.
New renderings have been released for the upcoming 37-story condominium tower 611 West 56th Street, aka 823 Eleventh Avenue. The first project in the United States for Portuguese architect Alvaro Size, the white limestone-clad structure will rise 440 feet tall and contain 80 units. The rectangular site is located at the corner of West 56th Street and Eleventh Avenue and is being developed by Sumaida + Khurana and LENY.
Porcelanosa’s prominent flagship location in the Flatiron District of Midtown, Manhattan could receive a major vertical expansion and interior renovation if approved by the Landmarks Preservation Commission. New proposals, dated April 16, 2019, are arranged by CetraRuddy Architecture in collaboration with preservation consultants Higgins Quasebarth and engineering consultants Walter P. Moore.
Standing 38 stories above Hudson Park is 515 West 36th Street. After excavation and foundation work began in 2016, the new mixed-use building now rises 418 feet. Located between the northern tip of Hudson Boulevard East and 10th Avenue, the site is a little over 328,000 square feet of newly built space. The reinforced concrete structure topped out in the summer of 2017 and is now fully enclosed in a reflective glass curtain wall. Ismael Leyva Architects is the designer, with Lalezarian Properties as the developer.
