Five-Story, Eight-Unit Mixed-Use Building Tops Out at 300 Washington Street, Hoboken

Construction has topped out on the five-story, eight-unit mixed-use project under development at 300 Washington Street, located on the corner of Third Street in Hoboken, New Jersey. The new building will have retail space on the ground floor and residential units on the upper four floors, although it’s not known if the apartments will be rentals or condominiums. Hoboken-based Minervini Vandermark Architecture is behind the design, Jersey Digs reported. Completion can probably be expected in 2017. The project is six blocks from Hoboken Terminal.


301 Garden Street

Educational Non-Profit Building Four-Story Expansion At 301 Garden Street, Hoboken

HOPES CAP Inc., a non-profit organization that operates pre-kindergarten education programs for children living below the poverty line in New Jersey, is constructing a four-story expansion adjacent to its headquarters at 301 Garden Street in Hoboken. The project is currently a single floor above street level. The expansion will house three classrooms as well as additional office space for the organization.


89 River Street

Reveal For 20-Story, 238-Key Hilton Hotel Proposed Behind 89 River Street, Hoboken

Renderings have been revealed of the proposed 20-story, 238-key Hilton Hotel located behind the Main Station Hoboken Post Office building at 89 River Street, in Hoboken. The tower would rise on the parking lot behind the post office along Sinatra Drive, Jersey Digs reported. The hotel would feature a restaurant & bar, a 6,000-square-foot rooftop venue, a fitness center, and a 6,000-square-foot business center. A small retail component is included in the plans. The post office would also get a renovation and an underground garage if the hotel plans proceed. Philadelphia-based KMS Development Partners is the developer and Cooper Carry Associates is behind the architecture. The city’s Planning Board must approve the project.


722 Jefferson Street

Reveal for Five-Story, 15-Unit Residential Building Planned at 722 Jefferson Street, Hoboken

A rendering has been revealed of the five-story, 15-unit residential building planned at 722 Jefferson Street, in Hoboken, New Jersey. The city’s Planning Board approved the project in May, Jersey Digs reported earlier this month. The project’s residential units will be condominiums, ranging from three- to four-bedrooms. There will be three penthouses, each boasting private rooftop terraces. Amenities include a communal roof terrace and a 15-car parking garage with electric charging stations on the ground floor. The 125-foot-wide site is currently vacant, although it was formerly occupied by multiple single- and two-story garages. The developer goes by an anonymous LLC and Hoboken-based Minervini Vandermark Architecture is behind the design. A construction timeline has not been disclosed. The Hudson-Bergen Light Rail’s 9th Street-Congress Street station is four blocks away, and the PATH station is about 20 minutes away by foot.


718 Jefferson Street

Reveal for Five-Story, Four-Unit Residential Building Planned at 718 Jefferson Street, Hoboken

A rendering has been revealed of the five-story, four-unit residential building planned at 718-720 Jefferson Street, in Hoboken, New Jersey. The developer, Hoboken-based Schmitt Capital, also recently broke ground on the project, Jersey Digs reported Tuesday. All four residential units will be condominiums. Each will have three bedrooms and measure over 2,500 square feet, per plans approved by the city in 2015. Amenities include a six-car garage on the ground floor, a 2,000-square-foot rear yard, and a roof terrace. Lee Levine Architects, also based in Hoboken, is behind the architecture. The 5,000-square-foot assemblage was once occupied by a single-story garage and a two-story house (recessed from the street). Completion can probably be expected in 2017.
