Permits have been filed for a five-story mixed-use building at 31 Church Avenue in Kensington, Brooklyn. Located between Story Street and Chester Avenue, the lot is near the Church Avenue subway station, served by the F and G trains. Rachel Kamionkais listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 49-foot-tall development will yield 65,144 square feet, with 47,027 square feet designated for residential space, 9,843 square feet for commercial space, and 8,272 square feet for community facility space. The building will have 29 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,004 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a 20-foot-long rear yard, and 26 enclosed parking spaces.
Kao Hwa Lee Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed last month for the single-story structure on the property. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
