Permits have been filed for a 15-story residential building at 23 Mount Hope Place in Mount Hope, The Bronx. Located between Jerome Avenue and Walton Avenue, the lot is near the 176th Street subway station, served by the 4 train. Joel Brach of Buildhouser Inc. is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 145-foot-tall development will yield 155,933 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 99 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 633 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar, a rear yard, but no accessory parking.
Nikolai Katz Architect is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits have not been filed yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

These are nice rowhomes, I would much prefer if the new development replaced the post fire 80s to 00s rowhomes (which range from boring to fugly)
that being said, a 15 story apartment building going up in the Bronx with no parking is a positive contribution to urbanity overall. I just hope it’s not butt ugly like a Badaly or Caliendo building
Katz does exponentially better work than those two hacks.
Don’t say “rowhome.”
Let me guess, you are clueless about architecture and call these “brownstones”
I suppose technically these were/are called attached single family or duplex…
They are semi detached (probably duplex originally/currently), but there is nothing wrong the term rowhome/rowhouse
