Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 184-12 Hillside Avenue in Jamaica Estates, Queens. Located between 184th Place and 184th Street, the lot is near the Jamaica-179th Street subway station, serviced by the F train. Nancy Zoriaa Real Estate Management is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 64-foot-tall development will yield 16,671 square feet, with 15,640 square feet designated for residential space and 1,031 square feet for commercial space. The building will have 20 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 782 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and ten enclosed parking spaces.

M.S. Savani Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed earlier this month for the single-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. There’s some projects on their portfolio page I wasn’t familiar with. Their tagline “When Design Matters” makes me a little nervous. Is there a time in architecture when it doesn’t matter?
