Permits have been filed to expand a one-story structure into a five-story mixed-use building at 819 Bedford Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Located between Park Avenue and Myrtle Avenue, the lot is near the Classon Avenue subway station, serviced by the G train. Zalmen Lebovitc is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 75-foot-tall development will yield 14,915 square feet, with 8,636 square feet designated for commercial space, 5,670 square feet for residential space, and 608 square feet for community facility space. The building will have six residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 945 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 40-foot-long rear yard.

Baobab Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the project calls for a vertical expansion. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
