Construction has topped out on Amiri, a 13-story residential building at 131 Concord Street in Downtown Brooklyn. Designed by Input Creative Studio with S. Wieder Architect as the architect of record and developed and built by Bruklyn Builders, the 135-foot-tall structure will span 48,558 square feet and yield 73 rental units in studio to three-bedroom layouts, as well as 180 square feet of commercial space. The Masters Division at Nest Seekers International is leading leasing and marketing for the property, which is located by the corner of Concord Street and Bridge Plaza Court, directly next to Woods Bagot‘s 33-story Amberly Apartments tower.

Recent photos show the reinforced concrete superstructure built to its pinnacle and topped with flags to signify its completion. A dense assembly of scaffolding and black netting covers the building as crews work to install the windows and façade. The main rendering depicts the envelope composed of a mix of gray brick, warm-colored wood, and metal panels surrounding a grid of floor-to-ceiling windows across the main southern elevation. Stepped setbacks on the upper floors will make way for a number of private outdoor terraces.

Residential amenities at Amiri will include private storage, bicycle parking, a game room, a fully equipped gym, a residential lounge, an outdoor rooftop lounge with Manhattan skyline views, and a landscaped courtyard with a dog run. The building will also have a cellar level and eight enclosed parking spaces.

131 Concord Street’s anticipated completion date is slated for this summer, as noted on site. However, sometime later in the year is more likely.

  1. 180 square feet of commercial space?
That’s the size of a shoe box
I wonder what taxpayer subsidy the millionaire developer got for including that?

  2. those renters paying big money to now have their windows directly adjacent to this building

  3. No Italians apparantly.

  4. It’ll be interesting to see how that wood comes out, or if it’s some other product.
