TF Cornerstone has officially opened 595 Dean Street, a two-tower residential development in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn. Located within the Pacific Park masterplanned neighborhood, the property comprises 558 market-rate apartments, 240 affordable housing units, a 60,000-square-foot public plaza, and 3,412 square feet of ground-floor retail space.

Designed by Handel Architects, the tallest tower peaks at 28 stories next to a shorter, 23-story sibling. Available units range from studios up to two-bedroom floor plans, all equipped with stainless steel appliances and name-brand finishes. Premium apartments also offer in-unit washers and dryers, windowed kitchens, and unobstructed views looking south.

Amenity spaces include a rooftop swimming pool, a sundeck, barbecue grills, resident lounges, coworking lounges and private conference rooms. There is also a screening room, an arcade-style game room, a children’s playroom, a cardio fitness room, a dog grooming space with third-party concierge services offered by Throw Me A Bone, and a brand new Chelsea Piers Fitness and Chelsea Piers Field House.

Residents will also have access to 28,750 square feet of exclusive outdoor amenity spaces designed by landscape architecture firm MNLA, the studio behind iconic New York projects including Little Island and Governors Island Park and Public Space. Appointed spaces at 595 Dean Street include a picnic grove, shaded woodland gardens, a fountain, and a landscaped central lawn surrounded by walkways.

As an added convenience, the development also includes a parking garage for up to 469 vehicles. Residents of 595 Dean Street will also have their own entrance to the building’s Chelsea Piers Fitness club through the East Tower lobby lounge, as well as a 50 percent membership discount to Chelsea Piers Fitness for leaseholders.

Beside the East Tower, wooden steps feature shared seating and a series of water jets for residents to cool off in the summer months. Next to the West Tower, there is a colorful playground and a dog run.

Public spaces between the two buildings include open green space, benches, and native plantings.

“Like all of our projects, 595 Dean Street was developed with a focus on enlivening and catering to the local community,” said Zoe Elghanayan, principal and senior vice president at TF Cornerstone. As our Brooklyn portfolio expands, we’re excited to bring much-needed, exquisitely designed, constructed, and managed housing to Prospect Heights, and look forward to welcoming new residents to our largest ground-up residential project in Brooklyn.”

595 Dean Street is TF Cornerstone’s second residential development in the borough following the 2017 opening of 33 Bond Street, a 714-unit rental building in Downtown Brooklyn. The building opens with market-rate net effective rents starting at $2,998 for studios, $3,800 for one-bedrooms, $5,486 for two-bedroom one-bathroom layouts, and $6,036 for two-bedroom two-bathroom layouts.

  1. That’s cool, but when are they finally going to start working on decking the tracks??

Also, is this a paid advertising or an editorial post? I can’t tell.

    • The Chinese government has stopped giving Greenland partners money to build the platform over the decks, probably will never happen.

  2. affordable units? yeah for the high middle income class, again high income earners get to live in well off to neighborhoods, while the majority of new low income housing units are built in high crime undesirable areas, thats the democratic way, smh
