This was the site of Lum’s, an Americanized Chinese restaurant years ago that was locally famous. It faded as more ethically correct eateries opened in Flushing. Many of the one-story commercial buildings along Northern Blvd. are being replaced with taller structures. Strangely, the nearby RKO Keith Theater site has remained inactive following the demolition that spared the landmarked lobby.
