Permits have been filed for a 12-story residential building at 58-01 Queens Boulevard in Woodside, Queens. Located between 58th Street and 59th Place, the lot is near the 61st Street-Woodside subway station, serviced by the 7 train. Bentley Zhao of New Empire Corp. is listed as the owner behind the applications, after securing the site for $16.2 million.

The proposed 120-foot-tall development will yield 94,609 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 131 residences, more than the 120 units the developer previously projected. Residences will most likely be rentals based on the average unit scope of 722 square feet. The steel-based structure will also have a cellar and 66 enclosed parking spaces.

Tang Studio Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have been filed for the existing Walgreens retail store on the site. An estimated completion date has been announced for the end of 2025.

  1. There are renderings on the architect’s website. It’s a little bit different, especially for this area.
