Permits have been filed for a six-story mixed-use building at 5423 15th Avenue in Borough Park, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of 55th Street and 15th Avenue, the corner lot is near the 62nd Street subway station, serviced by the D train. Jacob Fulop is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 65-foot-tall development will yield 22,948 square feet, with 17,975 square feet designated for residential space and 4,973 square feet for community facility space to be used by an ambulatory health facility. The building will have 10 residences, most likely condos based on the average unit scope of 1,797 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 35-foot-long side yard.

Lester Katz, NCARB is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits were filed in April for the three-story building on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. The huge apartment sizes are due to the Hasidim who usually have about 10 kids per family.
