Permits have been filed for a five-story, 330-seat elementary school at 280 Senator Street in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Third Avenue and Senator Street, the corner lot is also addressed as 6740 Third Avenue. Two blocks east is the Bay Ridge Avenue subway station, serviced by the R train. NYC School Construction Authority is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 70-foot-tall development will yield 45153 square feet designated for community facility space. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 20-foot-long rear yard.
Stantec Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
An estimated completion date has not been announced.
