The affordable housing lottery has launched for 874 Willoughby Avenue, a nine-story mixed-use building in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Designed by Stavros Malliaros, the structure yields 93 residences, ground-floor commercial space, and 42 parking spaces. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 28 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $35,760 to $139,620.

Amenities include an elevator, an outdoor terrace, bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, and parking. Units come equipped with name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes, energy-efficient appliances, and intercoms. Tenants are responsible for electricity, which includes heating, cooling, hot water, and gas stove.

At 80 percent of the AMI, there are nine one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $949 for incomes ranging from $35,760 to $85,920 and ten two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,155 for incomes ranging from $43,475 to $103,120. At 130 percent of the AMI, there are nine one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $1,800 for incomes ranging from $61,715 to $139,620.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than April 18, 2022.
