The affordable housing lottery is open for 1893 Crotona Avenue, an eight-story residential development in The Bronx’s Tremont neighborhood. Designed by Badaly Architects, the 21,520-square-foot building will yield 29 units. Available on NYC Housing Connect are nine units for residents at 130 percent of the area median income, ranging in eligible income from $41,143 to $159,640.
Residential amenities include nine covered parking spaces, recreation room, a shared laundry room, bike storage, lobby, and security cameras. Units will have energy-efficient appliances, hardwood floors, and air conditioning. A small ambulatory or treatment healthcare facility will also be on the ground floor.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are two studios with a $1,200 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $41,143 to $118,300; five one-bedrooms with a $1,375 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $47,143 to $133,120; and two two-bedrooms with a $1,600 monthly rent for incomes ranging from $54,858 to $159,640.
Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than February 25, 2021.
