The J Associates have revealed the first architectural renderings of a new 13-story mixed-use building in Long Island City. The property will take shape at 26-04 Jackson Avenue and will replace a three-story building with ground-floor commercial space and two floors of apartments.

Designed by the Manhattan-based architects of Input Creative Studio, the building also contain a mix of lower-level commercial area with a collection of apartments positioned above. The unspecified commercial component will occupy 2,222 square feet.

The residential component will max out around 56,000 square feet and include 82 rental units. Considering these specifications, the average unit size hovers around 683 square feet. The most premium units will include private outdoor space.

Construction materials for the exterior of the building will include brown brick, bronzed metal window framing and ornamental fins, and glass-enclosed balconies. The massing at the roof of the building sets back to accommodate an outdoor roof deck. It is unclear whether the deck will be activated as an amenity space or a private residential terrace.

    • I think you’ve misunderstood what this website is. Its not a classified section for new apartments, its a forum for nerds that are interested in architecture and construction.
