Permits have been filed for a three-story hotel at 4318 Bronx Boulevard in Wakefield, The Bronx. Located between East 236th Street and East 237th Street, the lot is near the Nereid Avenue subway station, serviced by the 2 and 5 trains. Patel Samir is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 36-foot-tall development will yield 18,215 square feet, with 12,386 square feet designated for commercial space. The building will have 55 hotel rooms, with an average unit scope of 225 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

S M Tam Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Hello New York YIMBY: Whether the weather is hot, cold, rainy, snowy, mudslides or a tsunami, you are still reporting. I see your dedication and stability as a sacrifice for development.

  2. I always describe YIMBY to friends as “Never saw a new building he didn’t like”

    I love reading YIMBY, but so many of the new buildings are appalling-looking and totally out of place. And expensive.

    And in some cases, they replace such beautiful, historical buildings, that my heart aches.

  3. As a Bronx boy, I know that the neighborhoods “Foxhurst” and “Woodstock” have never, and do not, exist.

    They are pretty funny names for The Bronx. I wonder who made them up. Google?

  4. I pray that this hotel does not become a harbor for drugs and vagrants. I hope It upgrades the neighborhood
