Permits have been filed for a six-story hotel at 427 East 188th Street in Belmont, The Bronx. Located between Park Avenue and Third Avenue, the lot is seven blocks east of the Fordham Road subway station, serviced by the B and D trains. Kaushik Patel is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 63-foot-tall development will yield 23,567 square feet, with 15,485 square feet designated for commercial space and 2,650 square feet for community facilities. The hotel will have 50 rooms with an average unit scope of 309 square feet.

S M Tam Architect is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. We need more businesses to be built in the Bronx we have plenty of housing. Unfortunately we do not have employment for the people to work. The Bronx needs something like an Amazon business to be located in Bronx for more of a economical development as well

  2. They should call it a homeless shelter because that is what it will be. Just like all the other hotels in the area they take in homeless people for credits from the city. No one on their right mind wants to stay here in a hotel on vacation
