Permits have been filed for an eight-story residential building at 698 Empire Boulevard in East Flatbush, Brooklyn. Located between Albany Avenue and Troy Avenue, the lot is closest to the Kingston Avenue subway station, serviced by the 3 train. Joseph Banda under the Empire Castle LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 23,776 square feet, with 18,355 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 27 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 679 square feet. The masonry-based structure will also have a cellar and a 30-foot-long rear yard.

Daniel Bernstein of Kutnicki Bernstein Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits will likely not be needed as the lot is vacant. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  1. Thank you for bringing the information of the development project. If not, you are a reporter on this. I wouldn’t know where the workers were going to have a building on our planet. As well as the development of the developer to create a happy living (I am grateful for your heart).
