Permits have been filed for an eight-story apartment building at 148-01 90th Avenue in Jamaica, Queens. Located between 148th Street and 149th Street, the nearest subway stations are Sutphin Boulevard-Archer Avenue-JFK Station, serviced by the E, J, and Z trains, and the Sutphin Boulevard Station, serviced by the F train. Mirza Rahman under the 148th Street Properties LLC is listed as the owner behind the applications.

The proposed 80-foot-tall development will yield 32,049 square feet, with 23,418 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 26 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 900 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have seven enclosed parking spaces.

Victor Filletti of T.F. Cusanelli and Filletti Architects is listed as the architect of record.

Demolition permits have not been filed as of yet. An estimated completion date has not been announced.

  2. my goodness what a gem and this is being demolished. this should be landmarked. all the houses will be gone from the boroughs but the worse part about Queens is that no one is watching…it is turning so ugly

    from a former Queens Girl.
