Permits have been filed for a seven-story residential building at 30-48 Crescent Street in Astoria, Queens. The site is four blocks away from the 30th Avenue subway station, serviced by the N and W trains. D. Casamento & Sons Inc. is listed as behind the applications.

The 70-foot tall structure will yield 8,160 square feet, with 7,640 square feet dedicated to residential use. 14 apartments will be created, averaging 545 square feet apiece, indicating rentals. The building will include seven off-street parking spaces. This will add an additional two units relative to permits filed for the same site two years ago. This will hopefully translate to quicker progress in construction and more housing in the area.

Tomos Designs Inc. will be responsible for the architecture.

The lot is currently vacant, meaning construction can start as soon as permits are approved. The estimated completion date has not been announced.
