The New York City Economic Development Corporation has selected RAL Development Services to develop a high-tech office building at 124 East 14th Street, near Union Square. Civic Hall, an organization that describes itself as a “collaborative innovation center,” will anchor the new building, Politico reported. It’s unclear whether the project will include other uses. The 15,450-square-foot site, which is occupied by a two-story P.C. Richard & Son electronics store, can accommodate up to 92,700 square feet of commercial space. An additional 46,350 square feet of space could be built as residential or community facility space. Demolition permits have not been filed.

  1. Would you like new office building in Union Square?..yes I would. (the answer from the planned)

  2. “vacant, two-story commercial building?” P.C. Richards will be very surprised to learn that they are not there. The site will be delivered vacant, but P.C. Richard’s is there until their lease expires in February. http://www.crainsnewyork.com/article/20151105/REAL_ESTATE/151109933/new-york-city-plans-to-replace-p-c-richard-store-by-union-square-with-hub-for-creative-businesses

  3. The building is not vacant… unless P.C. Richards and Sons is going out of business right after the holidays?
