Construction Update: 35 West 15th Street

35 West 15th Street–which has apparently been dubbed ’35 XV’ by the developer, Alchemy Properties–is progressing quickly. Though there is a banner heralding the building’s new name, the website on the banner is merely a registration page, with no information besides pricing. Apparently one bedrooms will start at $1.5 million, with four bedroom units ranging up to $9.95 million.

The part of the building that’s currently under construction is for Xavier High School, and the residential units will be above. Since the last update from October, it appears that much of the 6-story high school has now been completed. The entire tower will eventually rise 299 feet (per DOB permits, making it quite prominent in the immediate neighborhood.

  1. The building will actually rise something like 350 ft. If you look at the DOB diagrams, the height to roof is around 350 ft.

  2. I had seen the diagram, but it lacked any details. Once renderings are released the height should be confirmed, but for now, 299′ isn’t a bad starting point.
