Top of the Rock: Midtown Manhattan, One57

Following yesterday’s update on the Downtown view from the Top of the Rock, here are the photos looking north. As you can see, the view is entirely unimpeded with one notable exception: One57. Progress on the supertall’s final stories is evident, with extensive concrete work ongoing. Getting a different perspective on the continuing work is fantastic, and really shows how One57 dominates the Midtown skyline, even from almost 900 feet up.

Also visible are 250 West 55th and 1715 Broadway, which make some impact on the skyline. 1715 Broadway still has several stories to go before topping-out, so it’s fair to say that the dual-Marriott hotels will leave a decent mark on the skyline. The cladding on 250 West 55th actually looks superb in these photos, almost like a mesh–it’s definitely different from how it looks on the ground, and that’s a good thing.
