Delancey Street Associates has launched leasing at The Artisan, a 26-story residential property at 180 Broome Street in the Essex Crossing development on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.
The Landmarks Preservation Commission will again review proposals to partially renovate the ground floor of the historic Emigrant Industrial Savings Bank. The building is located at 49-51 Chambers Street in the Civic Center and could eventually house an immersive digital museum and gallery with rotating exhibitions.
Full demolition permits have been filed for 63 Pitt Street on the Lower East Side. According to the filing, the site is owned by Damien Smith under the 63 Pitt Street LLC and currently houses a five-story residential building with 16 units. The 55-foot-tall structure was built in 1920.
Construction is wrapping up on 165 Chrystie Street, a ten-story residential building on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Designed by Architecture Only and developed by Nortco and Nexus Development, the reinforced concrete structure stands on the west side of Sara D. Roosevelt Park between Delancey Street and Rivington Street. Sales is handled by Nest Seekers led by Ryan Serhan, with marketing handled by CORE. Layouts include six through-floor simplex units, a duplex townhouse with a private rear yard, and a triplex penthouse with a private rooftop.
New renderings have been released for the Broome Street Development at 55 Suffolk Street and 64 Norfolk Street on Manhattan’s Lower East Side. Compromised of two mixed-use buildings spanning an estimated total of 387,223 square feet, components include the headquarters for the Chinese-American Planning Council, the Beth Hamedrash Hagodol synagogue, 488 rental housing units with 43% of units specified as permanently affordable, and retail. Gotham Organization is listed as the owner behind the applications filed earlier this year with Dattner Architects as the architect of record.
