Excavation is moving along at 525 Sixth Avenue, the site of a 13-story residential building in Greenwich Village, Manhattan. Designed by BKSK Architects and developed by Izaki Group under the 525 6th Ave LLC, the 145-foot-tall structure is planned to span 123,000 square feet and yield 71 condominium units and ground-floor commercial space. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is alternately addressed as 100-106 West 14th Street and is located at the corner of West 14th Street and Sixth Avenue, just below the border with Chelsea.

Developers Fetner Properties and Lions Group celebrated the topping out of Italic, a 50-story residential skyscraper at 26-32 Jackson Avenue in Long Island City, Queens. Designed by SLCE Architects, the 526-foot-tall structure will span 384,043 square feet and yield 363 rental apartments in studio to three-bedroom layouts, with 109 units allocated toward affordable housing, as well as 19,923 square feet of commercial space. Hunter Roberts Construction Group is the general contractor for the property, which is located between Dutch Kills Street and Purves Street.

Site Prep Underway for 15-Story, 323-Unit Residential Complex at 241 West 28th Street, Chelsea

The ubiquitous forest green fence, a herald of impending construction, has gone up around a mid-block parking lot in Chelsea, at 241 West 28th Street. The 29,326-square-foot, 150-foot-wide lot, which stretches between West 28th and West 29th streets, and will accommodate twin 15-story, 165-foot-tall buildings, each one aligned along its respective street. The 314,013-square-foot complex is set to feature a 6,094-square-foot commercial component topped by 252,191 square feet of apartments. Given its 323-unit count, each apartment would average 781 square feet. The project is being developed by Edison Properties, with Hunter Roberts Construction Group as the general contractor.
