Permits have been filed for a six-story residential building at 191 Dumont Avenue in Brownsville, Brooklyn. Located at the intersection of Dumont Avenue and Thomas Boyland Street, the corner lot is also addressed as 682 Thomas Boyland Street and is walking distance from the Rockaway Avenue subway station, served by the 2, 3, 4, and 5 trains. Zev Mayer of Walton Developers is listed as the owner behind the applications.
The proposed 60-foot-tall development will yield 65,225 square feet designated for residential space. The building will have 114 residences, most likely rentals based on the average unit scope of 572 square feet. The concrete-based structure will also have seven open parking spaces.
Kao Hwa Lee Architects is listed as the architect of record.
Demolition permits were filed this month for the single-story structure on the site. An estimated completion date has not been announced.
