2183 3rd Avenue in East Harlem, Manhattan via NYC Housing Connect

The affordable housing lottery has launched for 2183 Third Avenue, a 12-story residential building in East Harlem, Manhattan. Designed by Gerald J. Caliendo Architect, the structure yields 59 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are two units for residents at 60 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $58,629 to $105,000.

Amenities include bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, gym, storage, elevator, and a rooftop terrace. Residences are equipped with dishwashers, air conditioning, hardwood floors, and name-brand kitchen appliances, countertops, and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity and gas which includes stove and heat.

At 60 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $1,514 for incomes ranging from $58,629 to $77,760; and one two-bedroom with a monthly rent of $1,921 for incomes ranging from $76,080 to $105,000.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than October 20, 2025.

  3. Acc to Google Maps, 2183 Third Ave is just across the Harlem River bridge to the Bronx. Always have to look up those avenue addresses for cross streets.
