The affordable housing lottery has launched for 19 Rockwell Place, a 27-story residential building in Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Designed by Daniel Goldner Architects and developed by Chesky Rosen under the 19 Rockwell Place LLC, the structure yields 172 residences. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 53 units for residents at 80 to 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $75,669 to $227,500. As a special incentive, tenants receive two months of free rent on all studios, and one- and two-bedroom units.

Amenities include pet-friendly policies, covered parking, bike storage lockers, a shared laundry room, gym, yoga and dance studio, recreation room, business center, doorman, recycling center, and elevator. Residences are equipped with dishwashers, air conditioning, intercoms, and name-brand kitchen countertops and finishes. Tenants are responsible for electricity.

At 80 percent of the AMI, there is one studio with a monthly rent of $2,065 for incomes ranging from $75,669 to $103,680; one one-bedroom with a monthly rent of $2,205 for incomes ranging from $81,223 to $116,640; and four two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $2,629 for incomes ranging from $97,680 to $140,000.
At 130 percent of the AMI, there are nine studios with a monthly rent of $3,423 for incomes ranging from $122,229 to $168,480; 31 one-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $3,661 for incomes ranging from $131,143 to $189,540; and seven two-bedrooms with a monthly rent of $4,376 for incomes ranging from $157,578 to $227,500.

Prospective renters must meet income and household size requirements to apply for these apartments. Applications must be postmarked or submitted online no later than September 22, 2025.
