Architecture firm Stephen B Jacobs Group has filed a new building application for a 21-story residential project at 145 Madison Avenue between 32nd and 33rd Streets in Midtown South.

Rising 210 feet into the air, the building will hold 56,618 square feet of residential space and 2,477 square feet of ground floor commercial space. Plans call for 71 apartments, which works out to an average unit of 797 square feet—meaning rentals are likely.

The developer is Kahen Properties, who picked up the site for $12,250,000 in June 2013. A six-story brick office building with a boutique on the first floor currently occupies the 2,500-square-foot property, and demolition permits have not yet been filed.
