425 East 161st Street [DNAinfo New York]: A nine-story, 58-unit “supportive housing building for homeless veterans and families” is slated for the vacant lots spanning 425-431 East 161st Street, in Morrisania. The $75 million building is expected to be completed “by the summer of 2017,” and MAP is designing.

740 8th Avenue [New York Daily]: Extell Development “has closed on the purchase” of a seven-story, 52,000 square-foot parking garage — located at 251 West 45th Street in Times Square — “for $45.78 million.” The lot is likely an addition to Barnett’s assemblage centered around 740 8th Avenue, where “most likely a hotel” of “monolithic” proportion will rise.
