New Three-Story, 93,700-Square-Foot Synagogue Planned At 1770 52nd Street, Borough Park

Brooklyn-based congregation Heichal Hatfillah has filed applications for a new three-story, 93,725-square-foot synagogue at 1770 52nd Street, located at the corner of 18th Avenue in southern Borough Park. The 60-foot-tall structure will feature two lecture halls, a banquet hall, and various spaces for rituals on two below-grade levels. The ground through third levels will contain the main sanctuary, offices, and a 12,224-square-foot living quarters. Karl Fischer’s SoHo-based architecture firm is the architect of record. The 26,077-square-foot site is currently vacant. The Avenue I stop on the F train is located five blocks away.


563 Dahill Road

Three-Story, Three-Unit Residential Project Filed at 563 Dahill Road, Borough Park

Brooklyn-based Cityscape Builders has filed applications for a three-story, three-unit residential building at 563 Dahill Road, located on the eastern edge of Borough Park. The project will measure 8,602 square feet and its full-floor residential units should average 2,150 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. There will be one off-street parking space and the structure will be topped by a roof terrace. Kenneth Thomas’s Nanuet, N.Y.-based firm is the applicant of record. The 40-foot-wife, 4,000-square-foot property is currently partially occupied by a two-story townhouse. Demolition permits haven’t been filed. The Ditmas Avenue stop on the F train is located a block away.

Three-Story, Three-Unit Residential Building Coming to 1706 48th Street, Borough Park

Property owner Chaim Sieger has filed applications for a three-story, three-unit residential project at 1706 48th Street, in Borough Park. The structure will measure 8,773 square feet and its full-floor residential units should average 2,193 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. It will be topped by a roof terrace. Kenneth Thomas’s Nanuet, N.Y.-based company is the applicant of record. The 3,656-square-foot property, located on the corner of Old New Utrecht Road, is currently occupied by a two-story house. Demolition permits were filed in March. The 18th Avenue stop on the F train is five blocks away.

Four-Story, Five-Unit Residential Project Planned at 921 57th Street, Borough Park

Brooklyn-based YSL Management Inc. has filed applications for a four-story, five-unit residential building at 921 57th Street, in western Borough Park. The new structure will measure 6,507 square feet. Its residential units should average 1,077 square feet apiece, indicative of condominiums. The apartment on the fourth floor will also feature space in an upper penthouse level and there will be two off-street parking spaces. Sugnam Chang’s Brooklyn-based Basic Groups Corp. is the architect of record. The 25-foot-wide, 2,454-square-foot property is currently occupied by a two-story house. Demolition permits haven’t been filed. The Fort Hamilton Parkway stop on the N train is six blocks away.
