Minuet Completes Construction at 244 East 52nd Street in Midtown East, Manhattan

Construction is complete on Minuet, a seven-story condominium building at 244 East 52nd Street in the Turtle Bay section of Midtown East, Manhattan. Designed by Isaac and Stern Architects with GeT Architect as the interior designer and developed by Minrav Development, the 26,000-square-foot structure yields 15 residential units, a cellar level, a 30-foot-long rear yard, and a rooftop terrace. DCG served as the general contractor for the project, which stands on a 5,000-square-foot interior plot between Second and Third Avenues.

Crews were in the process of framing out the topped-out reinforced concrete superstructure with CMU blocks behind scaffolding and black netting at the time of our last update in May 2022. Since then, all work has concluded and the construction barricades have been removed from the property. Recent photos show the completed look of the light gray stone façade on the main northern elevation, which features a grid of horizontally grouped windows framed with dark gray metal paneling and cylindrical columns. The eastern and western lot line walls are left mostly blank, with only a handful of small rectangular windows.

The roof terrace sits atop the seventh floor and will feature lounge seating, a kitchen, and dining area. Two balconies at the western end of the fifth and sixth floors will provide private outdoor space.

Residential interiors are lined with wide white oak flooring and custom cabinetry. Kitchens get Taj Mahal quartzite, while bathrooms have North Pearl marble tiling.

Amenities include a lobby with a part-time doorman and virtual doorman, a laundry room, bicycle storage, a fitness center with a yoga and movement studio, and private storage available for purchase.

Sales and marketing are being handled by Reuveni Development Marketing with asking prices ranging $1.25 million for a one-bedroom to $6.5 million for a four-bedroom penthouse with nearly 1,000 square feet of private outdoor space.

The closest subways from Minuet are the E and M trains at the Lexington Avenue-53rd Street station, which offers a transfer to the 6 train at the 51st Street station on Lexington Avenue.

  1. Clearly the landmark townhouse on the right can’t be touched but the ramen store on the left? Including it would have really improved the street.

  2. What a tasteful addition to this block.

  3. It looks good next to the Rockefeller Guest House. Philip Johnson would not have a problem with this next door.

  4. Nice shots and love how simple and clean the facade design is!

  5. Very nice. Is that a single family home next door?

It’s a beautiful building which is some consolation given the beautiful, historic building that was torn down for it.

  7. The number of music puns on the building’s website…

  8. Oooooh Taj Mahal quartzite! Have no clue what that is….but it sounds very luxe.

  9. Way too small for a new development in Midtown East! Would’ve loved to have seen this be double the proposed height 🙁

  10. I just noticed there is a pretty large, red fire extinguisher sitting on the sidewalk right in front of the Authentic Japanese barbecue. Perhaps I need to get my eyes checked 🙂

Beautiful tones which made me look at it multiple times, and it’s still beautiful including the street below: Thanks to Michael Young.
