Developers Celebrate Ribbon Cutting for Affordable Housing at 22 South West in Mount Vernon

This week, developers and city officials celebrated the official opening of 22 South West, a new mixed-income affordable housing complex in Mount Vernon, New York. Designed by Humphreys & Partners Urban Architecture, the $95 million mixed-use development comprises 4,200 square feet of ground-floor retail and office space, 189 apartments, and 149 sub-grade parking spaces.

Affordable Housing Lottery Launches for Hunter’s Point South in Long Island City, Queens

The housing lottery is now open for 52-41 Center Boulevard, one of two Hunter’s Point South towers on Long Island City‘s waterfront in Queens. Developed by TF Cornerstone and designed by ODA, 52-41 and 52-03 Center Boulevard will bring 1,194 new residential units in the form of studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms ranging in monthly rent from $698 to $2,704. Sixty percent of units will be allocated as permanently affordable to low-, moderate-, and middle-income families, and 100 apartments will go to low-income seniors. Available on NYC Housing Connect are the first 185 affordable units at 5241 Center Boulevard, part of a total 719 affordable units. Half of the total affordable units are set aside for the local community within Queens Community Board 2.

Yonkers IDA Votes for $72 Million Development Project in Ravine Neighborhood

A block in the Warburton Ravine Urban Renewal Area of Yonkers will soon see a significant overhaul thanks to the Yonkers Industrial Development Agency (IDA). On September 4, the IDA gave preliminary approval of financial incentives for a $72 million development known as Point & Ravine Apartments, developed through a public partnership between the City of Yonkers and developer Conifer Realty LLC. Construction costs are estimated at $43.4 million and land acquisition at $8.24 million.
