The affordable housing lottery has launched for 35 Commercial Street, a newly constructed affordable housing property in Greenpoint, Brooklyn. Located within the Greenpoint Landing mega-complex, the 22-story building will contain 374 permanently affordable apartments and 7,600 square feet of retail space on the lower levels. The project is developed by Park Tower Group along with Greenpoint Landing Associates, New York City’s Housing Preservation & Development (HPD), and the Housing Development Corporation (HDC).

Designed by Aufgang Architects and developed by Slate Property Group and RiseBoro Community Partnership, the project will yield 215 permanently affordable housing units, around 5,000 square feet of ground-floor commercial space, and will debut as one of the most sustainable income-restricted properties in New York City. Slate appointed multidisciplinary design studio OSD (the Office of Strategy and Design) as the landscape architects responsible for designing a welcoming outdoor experience.

The affordable housing lottery has launched for Bronx Point Phase 1, a 22-story mixed-use building at 575 Exterior Street in the South Bronx. Designed by S9 Architecture and developed by L+M Development Partners, Type A Projects, and BronxWorks, the structure yields 542 residences, 56,000 square feet of community facility space, 12,000 square feet of retail space, and will serve as the home of the Universal Hip Hop Museum. Available on NYC Housing Connect are 432 units for residents at 30 to 120 percent of the area median income (AMI), ranging in eligible income from $18,515 to $198,600.
